Home Alone Theme – Somewhere in My Memory

Well folks, December is here and the Man City Christmas jumper is back! I just wanted to get one quick lesson published before the festive season arrives and I've chosen this beautiful melody by John Williams called 'Somewhere in My Memory' .... but you'll know it as the theme tune to 'Home Alone'!

In the lesson, we'll have a quick play of the melody (which should be quite straightforward to any standard of player) and then I'll do my usual trick of turning it into a lovely, mandolin-friendly chord melody arrangement. We'll be moving it around the neck, adding chords underneath the melody and generally filling it out so it sounds like it was meant to be played on mandolin!
